El racismo es un tema delicado desde siempre y a pesar de que pase el tiempo mucha gente sigue haciendo este tipo de actos desagradables. Esta vez fue en una universidad de Chicago donde sucedió el acto.
El acto sucedió durante una fiesta de la Marist High después de un juego de bienvenida entre la misma y Montini Catholic, en un juego de futbol de bienvenida; donde Marist salió victoriosa. En el video se puede escuchar la canción de “Payaso del Rodeo” y los estudiantes en forma de protesta se hincaron en forma de protesta e inclusive abuchearon esto.
También la alumna que grabó el acto comenta que también pudieron escuchar a sus compañeros decirles: “¡Ugh! Son mexicanos”

Según Chicago Sun-Times, Marist High School ya está investigando los hechos en los que los estudiantes participaron. Asimismo, la administración de la escuela emitió una disculpa en un comunicado citado por el medio estadounidense.
“Nosotros como escuela promovemos la diversidad cultural y brindamos desarrollo profesional sobre competencia cultural para el personal y los estudiantes. Marist High School está investigando a fondo los eventos y los abordará según corresponda”.
